I’m a software engineer, but making games is where I turn ideas, mechanics and crazy concepts into something people can actually experience.
I create games for the Playdate because I love this little console. Its crank, its limitations and its personality make it an incredible playground for creativity.
Small games. Weird games. Fast games. Games that make you smile, fail, try again and say: “Okay, one more time.”
Not everyone has the same budget. I don’t think someone’s wallet should decide whether they get to enjoy a game.
That’s why my Playdate games are free to download and free to play.
No paywalls. No locked content. No artificial restrictions.
Every game takes time: designing mechanics, programming, testing, fixing bugs, creating visuals, balancing difficulty and starting again when something doesn’t feel right.
Even when a game is free, I want it to feel worth playing.
I want to keep experimenting, creating strange ideas and pushing this little yellow console further.
Maybe one game will make you laugh. Maybe another will frustrate you. Maybe one will become your favourite little time killer.
If that happens, every hour spent making it was worth it.
If your budget is limited, keep your money. Download the game. Play it. Share it. Tell me what you think.
That’s already an incredible support.
But if you’re lucky enough to have a little more to spare and enjoy what I’m making, a donation helps me keep creating.
Thank you for playing my games. Thank you for sharing them. And if you choose to support me, thank you for helping me make the next one.
