A downloadable game
AND EVER USED ASCENSION:
If you ever used Ascension, version 0.5 or later will put you straight into Act Two.
Here is what happened, plainly.
In the first release, ascending reset your workshop for a handful of cores.
We measured what that actually cost.
It was repetitive.
It was punishing.
And most importantly, it was standing in front of the only genuinely new thing in the game.
So Ascension has been removed.
There is now one restart left in CRANKWORKS — and it is the Act break.
The one that empties the screen and hands you different verbs.
You will land directly in Act Two on launch, including the interlude.
Your workshop will be restored to what a completed Act One would have left you with:
- The full research tree
- Your machines
- Enough progress to commission your first site
You are not paying twice.
Or if you started on 0.4.2 or later:
You keep playing exactly where you are.
Your save is safe either way.
It lives in a folder named after the game, not after the download. Updating CRANKWORKS never touches it.
WORKS EVERYWHERE NOW.
Acts Two and Three previously had no crank at all.
The game took it away for two acts and handed it back at the end.
That was the wrong shape for this console.

Will do. Also, I noticed something - I use two of your games and in Trophy Case your games doesn't have a graphics banner - just a black box. Maybe it takes some time for it to be added?
